    Research & Audit

Diagnostic-first. The standard agency cycle is 49 days from contract to first deliverable (Databox, 87-agency survey). For a Series A founder with a $30K monthly burn, that's roughly $50K of runway against zero output — and the first deliverable is usually a kick-off deck.

We start every engagement here, in week one, with a punch list of priority issues with concrete actions per issue. Same format used across 30+ projects in crypto, SaaS, EdTech, fintech, fitness, and food delivery.

    What we audit

Four common audit objects, scoped to your stage and segment.

    Marketing audit

Funnel leaks, attribution gaps, channel-mix mismatches, conversion drag across the buying journey, retention decay. The shape of revenue: where it leaks, where it compounds, where it never enters in the first place.

    SEO audit

Technical SEO debt (sitemap health, indexation, schema, Core Web Vitals), content decay across published articles, keyword cannibalization, ranking gaps vs the competitors you should beat, AEO/GEO readiness for answer engines and generative search.

    Message audit

Positioning, ICP-message fit, value-proposition clarity, channel-by-channel message consistency. The gap between what you say and what the buyer hears — usually wider than founders expect.

    Crypto-specific audit

For crypto clients, on top of the above: tokenomics narrative, exchange listings, on-chain attribution, ecosystem partnership leverage, KOL allocation, regulatory positioning per jurisdiction.

Output is a list of what to fix, in what order, with the reason behind the priority. Usually three to seven priority items per audit, ranked by expected impact and cost-to-fix.

    Process

    Day 1-2

    Kick-off & baseline

Kick-off call, access provisioning (analytics, ad accounts, search console, CRM if relevant). Signal engine baseline scan kicks off in parallel.

    Day 3

    Diagnostic deep work

Senior team reviews data, runs scenario checks, drafts the punch list. Signal engine baseline completes — first set of automated findings ready.

    Week 1

    Punch list delivered

Each item carries: what's broken, why it matters, what to do about it, expected effort. Joint review call to walk through priorities and answer questions.

    After audit

    Three paths forward

Take the punch list to your team and execute internally — it's yours either way. Hand the findings to your existing agency as a brief. Or move into Growth or Full Stack with the audit as month-one plan.

Many engagements stop here. That's fine — the punch list is yours either way. The audit is the entry point, not the upsell.

How signal engine touches research and audit

The audit doesn't end on day seven. The findings feed directly into the signal engine baseline, so the same monitoring layer that produces the audit then watches for drift on the same metrics.

A content-decay finding in week one becomes a content-decay alert in week six. A competitor-landing-page gap becomes a competitor-monitoring rule. The audit is the snapshot; the engine keeps the snapshot honest.

    Signal-Driven Monitoring

    Why audit-first works

The audit comes first, week one, no commitment to a retainer. The punch list is yours either way. If the audit shows you don't need us, we say so. The model doesn't require capturing the client at month one because it doesn't depend on month-one capture.

    Pricing

The audit is the entry point — published pricing on the pricing page, per-segment matching from Pre-Seed through Series B+. The audit has a price because the work has cost.
